Shacman has firmly occupied the throne of the number one brand of Chinese heavy trucks exported to Africa. In 2018, an assembly plant was established in Algeria. Since 2007, more than 40,000 “shacman” brand heavy trucks have been exported to the country, occupying as high as 80% of the engineering vehicle market in Algeria. The sales volume of its export products is growing at an astonishing average annual rate of 120%. The products are exported to many African countries such as Algeria, Angola, and Nigeria.
To meet the diverse needs of the African market, Shacman‘s export products cover various types of vehicles. From heavy military off-road vehicles and light armored assault vehicles to urban ambulances, long-arm fire trucks, engineering machinery vehicles and water supply trailers and other multi-type vehicle equipment, it fully demonstrates Shacman‘s strong manufacturing strength. Shacman Huainan Special Purpose Vehicle Co., Ltd. also exported 112 sprinklers to Ghana. This export-type sprinkler has a full load of 25 tons and can hold 20 cubic meters of water. It is convenient to draw water and is suitable for the complex local road conditions.
Shacman actively responds to the “Belt and Road” initiative and participates in international major projects such as the Mombasa-Nairobi Railway project in Kenya, which greatly enhances brand awareness and influence and lays a solid foundation for expanding the African market.
Implement the “one country, one vehicle” product strategy and customize vehicle overall solutions for different countries and customers. In Central Asia, while providing dump trucks, highway vehicles are also introduced according to the local market environment and user needs. At present, Shacman‘s export product spectrum is complete. The main sales products fully cover four series of tractors, dump trucks, trucks and special vehicles, and actively layout new energy trucks.
Put forward the concept of “two concerns”, that is, pay attention to the full life cycle of products and pay attention to the entire customer operation process, and is committed to continuously reducing the overall operating costs of customers. In southeastern Africa, a cross-border transportation service network covering 9 countries is established to realize cross-border service parts coordination. In regions such as Central and South America and the Middle East, the trunk logistics service network is accelerated to be improved, and investment in parts central warehouses is increased, and service shuttle vehicles are launched. For key projects, a customer vehicle performance analysis model is established and a package of service plans is formulated. At the same time, a four-level service guarantee mechanism is established, including overseas service stations, overseas offices, headquarters remote support and special on-site services, and professional truck operation and maintenance skills training is provided to train many service engineers and drivers locally.
Continuously optimize the overall solution, cooperate closely with excellent international partners, publicly recruit excellent export channels in key markets such as Africa, and vigorously promote the layout of the global marketing network. At present, Shacman has 40 overseas offices, more than 190 first-level authorized dealers, more than 380 overseas service outlets, 43 overseas parts central warehouses and more than 100 parts specialty stores around the world, covering Africa, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, Central and South America and other regions. And it has carried out localized production in 15 countries such as Mexico and South Africa.
